1,000 Days in the Making, 30 cms of Hair - I’m Finally #RockingTheChop!
For the past three years, many of you have seen my hair get longer and longer, and today, I’m excited to share the "why" behind it.
I have officially grown my hair to 30 cm so that I can donate it to Cancer Council Queensland to be made into a medical wig for someone experiencing hair loss from treatment. But the hair is only half of the story.
I’ve set a goal to raise $1500 to support the life-saving work of Cancer Council Queensland. In our state, cancer affects so many families, and I want to contribute towards making sure no one has to face it alone.
How your donation helps:
$57 can fund a professional wig-fitting appointment for a Queenslander in need.
$155 can help provide transport for a patient to get to their life-saving treatment.
$1500 (my goal!) can fund a significant portion of local research into better treatments and cures.
