I’m rocking the chop to put a stop to cancer!!!!

Did you know that 1 in 2 Queenslanders will be diagnosed with cancer in their lifetime?

It is estimated that 60% of people affected by cancer face distress from legal and financial challenges and 1 in 6 people report skipping medications or delay seeing a specialist for concerns about cost. Cancer is horrible It takes a lot from everyone. cancer patients who have radiation or chemotherapy have gone through so much including losing their hair, and that can make them feel different or judged. Losing hair is a really big deal because it’s part of who we are. That’s why I’m cutting off my ponytail—to help someone feel more like themselves again. Everyone deserves to feel confident in their own bodies, no matter what they’re going through. If this can help even one person feel better, then it’s totally worth it.

on the 9th of may I will be chopping off my ponytail and rocking a brand new hairdo. Every ponytail chopped will make a difference to the lives of people affected by cancer #chopforchange.

All funds raised will go towards cancer research, prevention programs and support services. This means everything from transport to get cancer patients to and from their medical appointments, to assisting childcare facilities to keep kids safe from the sun.
