I'm rocking the chop on 03/03/2026
I’m rocking the chop to put a stop to cancer!
Cancer has deeply shaped our family. We have lost our Dad, Poppy and Aunty to cancer, and we are incredibly grateful that our Nana survived breast cancer. These losses have changed us forever and left a mark that will always be part of who we are.I’m rocking the chop alongside my nephew, who is just two years old. Standing beside him in this is incredibly special. It’s a simple act, but one filled with meaning, love and hope for our family.
Our Dad once rocked a very impressive ’80s mullet — back when life was all motorbikes, backyard cricket and family. Cutting our hair feels like a cheeky tribute to him, and a way to make sure those stories (and that haircut) live on with the next generation.
Cancer has broken our hearts in many ways, leaving spaces that can never be filled. But it has also brought us closer together and taught us how fragile and precious life truly is. We now live with the understanding that everything can change in an instant.
By taking part in the Ponytail Project, we hope the money we raise will help fund research that can prevent other families from experiencing the same heartbreak. If our efforts can help improve treatments, save lives, or give someone more time with the people they love, then every centimetre cut will be worth it.
We’re rocking the chop for those we’ve lost, for those still fighting, and for a future where cancer doesn’t take so much from the families we love.
