I'm rocking the chop on 15/06/2023

In June of 2023 I will be 'Rocking the Chop' to put a stop to cancer and fundraise for the Cancer Council.

Did you know that 1 in 2 Australians will be diagnosed with cancer in their lifetime?

By supporting this worthwhile cause that affects millions worldwide, cancer research can be further conducted, care and support can be provided to families affected by the devastating disease, and awareness can be raised about cancer prevention and early detection. Cancer research is essential to understanding the causes of cancer and in developing improved treatments and preventative measures. Holding this event at our College is the perfect way to achieve our goal of increased awareness and in prompting our loved ones to donate. Cancer is an ongoing illness that hits close to home for many. By being a participant this year, we can come together as a community, support our girls that are opting in by ‘Rocking the Chop’, and continue to support the Cancer Council’s outstanding efforts in putting a stop to cancer. I can’t wait to ‘ROCK THE CHOP!’

I’m taking part in Cancer Council’s Ponytail Project campaign to raise funds that will support people impacted by cancer.

Throughout the year, I’ll be growing my hair as long as possible, alongside peers all across Australia, before chopping off my ponytail and rocking a brand new hairdo. Every ponytail chopped will make a difference to the lives of people affected by cancer #chopforchange.

All funds raised will go towards essential cancer support services, prevention programs and lifesaving research. This means everything from transport to get cancer patients to and from their medical appointments, to assisting childcare facilities to keep kids safe from the sun.
