I'm rocking the chop on 09/12/2023

I’m rocking the chop to put a stop to cancer!

Did you know that 1 in 2 Australians will be diagnosed with cancer in their lifetime?

I’m taking part in Cancer Council’s Ponytail Project campaign to raise funds that will support people impacted by cancer.

Throughout the year, I’ll be growing my hair as long as possible, alongside peers all across Australia, before chopping off my ponytail and rocking a brand new hairdo. Every ponytail chopped will make a difference to the lives of people affected by cancer #chopforchange.

All funds raised will go towards essential cancer support services, prevention programs and lifesaving research. This means everything from transport to get cancer patients to and from their medical appointments, to assisting childcare facilities to keep kids safe from the sun.

I know that I can help create change.

Will you support me?

You can find out more about where your donations go at ponytailproject.com.au/about-cancer-council.

Thank you!

Kind people are my kind of people!

Why I’m doing the chop!

Wednesday 9th Aug
I’m rocking the chop this year to support not only for everyone one who has, is and will battle cancer but especially for the loved ones I know that have both survived cancer and for the ones that lost their battle.

One of my close family friends got diagnosed with breast cancer a few years back and had to loose one of her breast, she beat the cancer however she later found out that the cancer had returned in her other breast. Thankfully she was able to keep it, and she has become such a stronger woman today.

When I was 15 my par got diagnosed with lung cancer. He’d been a smoker for as long as he could remember. He fought for a long year but sadly lost his battle on Christmas in 2021. It was heartbreaking for our whole family and still is.

I want to raise awareness of how much cancer can affect an individual and their families. I hope in the future that no one has to go through this.

Thank you to my Sponsors
