Two ponytails, one big purpose - help us #RockTheChop.
This year, Margot and I are proud to be joining the Ponytail Project to #RockTheChop and donate our hair.
We’ve been growing our hair for as long as she has been alive, and now we want to do something meaningful with it - to help both children and adults feel like themselves again while navigating the challenges of hair loss caused by cancer treatment and autoimmune conditions.
Hair can be such a big part of someone’s identity. For many, losing it can feel like losing a piece of themselves. While my daughter and I haven’t personally experienced hair loss, people we love dearly have, and we’ve seen how difficult it can be. This is our way of showing support, giving hope, and making a difference.
By cutting and donating our ponytails, we’re contributing to wigs that can restore not just hair, but confidence, dignity, and joy. We’re also raising vital funds for Cancer Council, supporting research, prevention, and support services for families impacted by cancer.
We’d love your support - together we can help people facing some of life’s toughest moments feel strong, beautiful, and themselves again.

Five Years of Growing, One Day of Giving
Tuesday 2nd SepMargot and I are blown away by the support from our friends and family for such a worthy cause - thank you from the bottom of our hearts 💛
For us, this decision comes from watching people we love go through some of life’s hardest challenges.
Over the years, we’ve had family and friends lose their hair - some from cancer treatment, others from autoimmune conditions. We’ve seen how deeply it can affect not only how someone looks on the outside, but how they feel on the inside. Hair can be tied to identity, confidence, and dignity, and when it’s lost, it adds another layer of difficulty to an already overwhelming journey.
We’ve also witnessed firsthand how a cancer diagnosis changes lives. Friends of our family have been impacted by cancer, and we’ve watched them navigate treatments, hospital stays and the uncertainty that comes with it. It creates challenges not just for the person diagnosed, but for the people who love and support them.
That’s why this project is so important to us. Donating our ponytails means someone can have access to a wig that helps them feel a little more like themselves again. But equally important is the fundraising. Every dollar raised goes to Cancer Council, an organisation that does so much more than many people realise. The funds support world-class research, vital prevention campaigns, and programs that provide practical, emotional, and financial support for people living with cancer and their families.
By joining this campaign, my daughter and I want to contribute something meaningful, something that honours the people we know and love, while helping others we may never meet. Together, we hope our hair and our fundraising will help restore confidence, provide comfort, and fuel the research that will one day change the story of cancer for good.
