I’m rocking the chop to help others fighting cancer!

In honour of what would've been my brother's 30th Birthday, on this Daffodil Day 2023, I’ve decided to officially #ROCKTHECHOP for Cancer Council’s Ponytail Project.

If we can reach the minimum target of $1500, I will cut off my hair to donate for wigs!

Those who know me know how long my hair really is, how long I've been growing it, and I wouldn't be able to do it unless it's for a good cause!

My brother hated my long hair - and finding it blowing around on the bathroom floor!

Ben was diagnosed with glioblastoma - an inoperable brain cancer, in 2016. After a brave 5 year battle, we lost Ben a year ago. I know he'd be happy I'm finally going to chop off my hair - something he'd always threatened to do himself.

Last year also, we received the news a good friend of ours was diagnosed with leukaemia and required a stem cell transplant.

Then, I heard another friend's BABY was starting her fight against Langerhans Cell Histiocytosis.

With 32,000+ QLDers diagnosed with cancer every year, cancer has many forms and affects us all - it's time we all stood together to do something about it!

Please support me to chop off my hair and donate it to The Ponytail Project, so I can help give wigs to those battling this cruel disease!

Also, in good news, the friend diagnosed with leukemia has had some positive progress with a successful stem cell transplant! We wish him all the best for a full recovery and can soon come off the anti-rejection drugs!

Cancer is hard not just on the patient, but also on the family and friends. With our donations from this Ponytail Project, we can help to support them all. <3
