Why i am doing it
I've decided to cut my hair for cancer in solidarity with my bonus grandad Jonno and all those I've known affected by this life changing disease. This is not just about cutting my hair but a symbol of my commitment to support and raise funds to end cancer's grip on lives. I hope to contribute to the fight against this illness, restoring hope and granting those battling cancer the chance to reclaim their lives. Your support means the world as we work towards a future free of cancer.
Did you know that 1 in 2 Queenslanders will be diagnosed with cancer in their lifetime?
I’m taking part in Cancer Council’s Ponytail Project campaign to raise funds that will support Queenslanders impacted by cancer.
Throughout the year, I’ll be growing my hair as long as possible, alongside peers all across Queensland, before chopping off my ponytail and rocking a brand new hairdo. Every ponytail chopped will make a difference to the lives of people affected by cancer #chopforchange.
All funds raised will go towards cancer research, prevention programs and support services. This means everything from transport to get cancer patients to and from their medical appointments, to assisting childcare facilities to keep kids safe from the sun.
