I’m rocking the chop to put a stop to cancer!

Did you know that over 450 cases of new cancer is diagnosed every day in Australia?

This December, I'm taking part in Cancer Council’s Ponytail Project campaign to donate my hair towards wig production and raise funds to support Australian's impacted by cancer.

I've been growing my hair as long as possible so that in December, I can braid my hair into sectioned ponytails to be chopped off and donated! Every ponytail chopped will make a difference to the lives of people affected by cancer #chopforchange.

Any ponytail that's longer than 20cm when braided gets donated to Sustainable Salons who distribute them to charities and wigmakers where they can become wigs for people going through medically induced hair-loss.

Although, any ponytail shorter than 20cm is still valuable!

Short pony's get used for projects like 'Hair Booms' that help clean oil spills, or processed and added to compost for super soil, and even used instead of heavy metals inside technology like OLED displays!

All funds raised will go towards cancer research, prevention programs and support services.

Whilst the #PonytailProject originated in NSW, it has since expanded to Australia wide!
