Letting Go of My Long Locks
Friday 18th JulHello friends,
I’ve always been someone people recognize by my long hair—it’s been part of my identity for as long as I can remember, never cut above my shoulders. It feels like an extension of who I am—my style, my comfort zone, my confidence. But today, I’m choosing to let it go—mindfully and meaningfully.
I’m taking part in the Ponytail Project, donating at least 20 cm of my locks so they can be transformed into a real human-hair wig for someone experiencing hair loss during cancer treatment. To me, if my hair is going, it might as well give—give dignity, give normalcy, and give back confidence.
