I'm rocking the chop on 11/06/2026
I’m rocking the chop to help put a stop to cancer!
For the past 15 years, I’ve been growing my hair — and this June, I’ll be cutting off half a metre to donate through The Ponytail Project and support Cancer Council’s #RockTheChop campaign.
Over the past two years, while living abroad in Vietnam far away from my family, two of my loved ones have been diagnosed with cancer. Sadly, this is also not the first time cancer has touched my family. Being so far from home during moments like these can feel incredibly helpless, so this is one small way I can show support for everyone going through the fight, especially the people I love who I don’t get to see every day — or even every month.
For many people undergoing chemotherapy, hair loss is more than just a physical side effect. It can deeply impact confidence, identity, and mental health during an already exhausting and emotional time. Wigs can help restore a sense of normalcy, comfort, and confidence, but they are expensive and often inaccessible for many families already under financial pressure from treatment.
By donating my hair and raising funds through The Ponytail Project, I hope to help provide practical support and a little bit of confidence to people facing one of the hardest periods of their lives.
Any donation, big or small, would mean a lot. Thank you for supporting #RockTheChop.
Please donate or help spread awareness.
