I'm rocking the chop to show support to my family x
Did you know that 1 in 2 Queenslanders will be diagnosed with cancer in their lifetime?
I’m taking part in Cancer Council’s Ponytail Project campaign to raise funds that will support Queenslanders impacted by cancer. I am also supporting the ponytail project because as i have grown up, i have been surrounded by family members and family friends that have experienced and suffered from cancer. This is my way to show my support for all those i care about.
Throughout the year, i have been growing my hair as long as possible, looking forwards to chopping off my ponytail. My peers and I will be making a difference to the lives affected by cancer - every ponytail counts.
All funds raised will go towards cancer research, prevention programs and support services. This means everything from transport to get cancer patients to and from their medical appointments, to assisting childcare facilities to keep kids safe from the sun.
