I’m rocking the chop to put a stop to cancer!

Did you know that 1 in 2 Queenslanders will be diagnosed with cancer in their lifetime?

I’m taking part in the Cancer Council’s Ponytail Project campaign to raise funds that will support Queenslanders impacted by cancer. I made the decision to start growing my hair when I was in grade 3 and to do the Ponytail Project in grade 5, to support those affected by cancer.

My decision to do this is because lots of people close to me and my family have been personally affected by cancer and I have seen how much help is needed to treat or manage cancer. #chopforchange.

All funds raised will go towards cancer research, prevention programs and support services. This means everything from transport to get cancer patients to and from their medical appointments, to assisting with childcare facilities, to helping manage treatment for those with terminal cancer/in hospice care, to supporting families of cancer patients.
