I’m rocking the chop to put a stop to cancer!

After taking part in Shave for a Cure in 2020, I have decided to take part in the 2026 Ponytail Project.

Over the past six years, I have grown my hair from completely bald to the length it is today. Now, I am going to donate it and hopefully make a difference once again.

My motivation for taking part is personal. At the end of 2024, my dad was diagnosed with bowel cancer. Only through the help of amazing healthcare workers and thoroughly researched cancer treatment was he able to make a full recovery. Watching someone you love go through this gives you a whole new appreciation for the importance of cancer research, support services, and the people working every day to improve outcomes for those affected.

I know that not everyone can donate their hair, but everyone can make a difference. While my ponytail donation will help create wigs for those experiencing hair loss due to cancer treatment, it is the fundraising that drives the success of this project. Every donation, no matter the size, helps fund vital cancer research and support programs for patients and their families.
