I’m rocking the chop to put a stop to cancer!
Did you know that 1 in 2 Queenslanders will be diagnosed with cancer in their lifetime?
I’m taking part in Cancer Council’s Ponytail Project campaign to raise funds that will support Queenslanders impacted by cancer.
Throughout the year, I’ll be growing my hair as long as possible, alongside peers all across Queensland, before chopping off my ponytail and rocking a brand new hairdo. Every ponytail chopped will make a difference to the lives of people affected by cancer #chopforchange.
All funds raised will go towards cancer research, prevention programs and support services. This means everything from transport to get cancer patients to and from their medical appointments, to assisting childcare facilities to keep kids safe from the sun.
I know that I can help create change.

Millie & Zoe
Friday 24th JulHi everyone!
We’re Millie and Zoe, and we’re so excited to be leading our school’s Ponytail Project at Smithfield State High School throughout Term 3.
Over the next few months, we’ll be running many fundraising events at school, as well as completing our own individual fundraising ! Our goal is to raise as much money as possible while also spreading awareness about the impact cancer has on so many individuals and families.
The Ponytail Project raises funds to support people affected by cancer by helping provide wigs, practical support, and life-changing cancer research. Every donation makes a difference!!
We would love and hope that everyone gets involved by supporting our school fundraisers and donating if you’re able. We can make a real impact when we work together 🙂
