Did you know that 1 in 2 Queenslanders will be diagnosed with cancer in their lifetime?
I’m taking part in Cancer Council’s Ponytail Project campaign to raise funds that will support Queenslanders impacted by cancer.
For years I've been growing my hair out and I think its a part of who I am. letting go isn't an easy choice, but it's one I'm making with purpose. Last year, my grandfather passed away from cancer, and seeing him fight through something so cruel changed the way I think about strength, loss, and giving back.
Donating my hair feels a small way to honour him. This donation is my way of keeping his memory alive alive and helping others find a little light in the darkness he once faced.
Every ponytail chopped will make a difference to the lives of people affected by cancer #chopforchange.
All funds raised will go towards cancer research, prevention programs and support services. This means everything from transport to get cancer patients to and from their medical appointments, to assisting childcare facilities to keep kids safe from the sun.
