Chopping my hair for a cause that means so much to me. 🎀

This year, I’m taking part in Cancer Council’s Ponytail Project to raise funds and awareness for Queenslanders impacted by cancer. For me, this campaign is especially meaningful because my grandma has experienced cancer herself and is now a cancer survivor. I’m so incredibly grateful that she is still here with us, and I wanted to take part in this project in honour of her and the strength she has shown throughout her journey. 💗

Throughout the year, I’ll be growing my hair as long as possible alongside peers all across Queensland, before finally chopping off my ponytail and embracing a brand-new hairdo. While cutting my hair may seem like a small thing, knowing that my ponytail can contribute to something much bigger makes it incredibly special to me. Every ponytail chopped is a step towards making a difference in the lives of people affected by cancer. #chopforchange

All funds raised through the Ponytail Project will go towards cancer research, prevention programs and support services. This includes everything from providing transport to help cancer patients get to and from their medical appointments, to supporting childcare facilities in keeping children safe from the sun.

I’m so proud to be doing this for my grandma and for every person and family whose lives have been touched by cancer.
