I’m rocking the chop to put a stop to cancer!
Hi everyone, on the 18th of June, me and 7 of my friends will be taking part in the Cancer Council Ponytail Project. We want to make a difference by raising awareness and funds for Queenslanders impacted by cancer.
At the beginning of this year, Richie, a much-loved member of our neighbourhood family was diagnosed with leukemia. Overnight, their world was flipped upside down.
When we came to visit him in Brisbane at the Royal Children’s Hospital. He had already begun chemotherapy and the hospital room felt far too grown up for a 10-year-old. But the Cancer Council had stepped in filling his walls with photos of his favourite team, the Cowboys of course. This my why.
The money raised will support those fighting cancer and help fund important research. Our ponytails will be donated to make wigs, helping bring confidence to those in their toughest times.
