I'm rocking the chop on 18/06/2026

I’m rocking the chop to put a stop to cancer!

I’m taking part in Cancer Council’s Ponytail Project campaign to raise funds that will support Queenslanders impacted by cancer.

At the beginning of this year, Richie, a much-loved member of our neighbourhood family was diagnosed with leukemia. Overnight, their world was flipped upside down.

A week later, we came to visit him in Brisbane at the Royal Children’s Hospital. He had already begun chemotherapy and the hospital room felt far too grown up for a 10-year-old. But the Cancer Council had stepped in filling his walls with photos of his favourite team, the Cowboys of course. They had already approached his family with housing support for the road ahead. This my why.

I’ll be growing my hair as long as possible, alongside my peers, before chopping my ponytail on my 17th birthday to make a difference to the lives of people affected by cancer.

You can find out more about where your donations go at ponytailproject.com.au/about-cancer-council.

Thank you!
