History

I’m rocking the chop because I want to support cancer patients around the world. Even though I can’t stop cancer, I hope people who are diagnosed with it know that they are strong and that they are never alone.

Cancer has affected many members of my family, including close family members who have experienced cancer throughout their lives. These experiences are a big reason why I want to rock the chop. I want to show that everyone has their own strength and that even a small act of kindness can make a meaningful difference.

While cutting my hair cannot stop cancer or take away the pain experienced by patients and their families, I hope my contribution can help support those going through their cancer journey. I want anyone affected by cancer to know that there are people who care about them, believe in them, and stand beside them during difficult times.

To me, strength is not about never feeling scared, sad, or hurt. It is about finding the courage to keep moving forward, even during life’s hardest moments. My family’s experiences with cancer have shown me how important support, kindness, and hope can be. These are the values I want to share through the Ponytail Chop.

By taking part, I hope to honour the people in my family who have been affected by cancer and show my support for everyone currently facing their own cancer journey. Together, even small actions can make a difference and remind people that they are cared for, supported, and never alone.
