I’m rocking the chop to put a stop to cancer!
I am rocking the chop to raise awareness and money for all kinds of cancer. I have personally seen the impact that cancer has on people, with my mum being a survivor of breast cancer and my grandma passing from breast cancer. No one deserves to have to deal with the weekly appointments, mental and physical battles, and tough family conversations that come with cancer. A huge mental battle is losing your hair during chemo, feeling like you are losing a part of your identity, letting your cancer physically show to others after many hide it internally for as long as possible. Having access to a real wig is a small act that makes a huge difference to a patient, helping them find a bit more comfort in their everyday life. After my mum was diagnosed with cancer I have donated 20cm of hair every year, making this the fourth year in a row I have done this. This is the first time I will donate whilst raising money and would love to make as big of an impact as possible. Any donations go a long way being able to help patients rebuild their identity, have access to treatments, and support ongoing research to find more effective and efficient cures to cancer.My Achievements
