I’m rocking the chop to put a stop to cancer!
Did you know that 1 in 2 Queenslanders will be diagnosed with cancer in their lifetime?
Did you know 1 in 2 Queenslanders will be diagnosed with cancer in their lifetime? I’m taking part in Cancer Council’s Ponytail Project, growing my hair before cutting it to raise funds for those affected by cancer #chopforchange.
Funds raised support vital cancer research, prevention programs, and services like patient transport and sun safety for kids.
Cancer has deeply impacted my family, with both of my Grandfathers having been diagnosed in 2023. Unfortunately, after a hard and tiring year-long fight, my Grandad lost his battle to AML, the most aggressive and fatal form of leukemia.
Having seen just how hard my Grandad fought each day to go about tasks others wouldn't think twice about, and my Grandpa spending every second day in hospital for chemo, physio, and appointments, I have always know participating in the Ponytail Project was something I wanted to do for them.
I know that I can help create change.
