Hi, I’m Imogene and I’m rocking the chop!

I’m donating 30cm of my hair to help people going through cancer. Hair is such a big part of how we feel, so I’m giving mine to help someone feel stronger, braver and more like themselves during treatment.

This cause means a lot to me. My great grandmother was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer and given just 3 months to live, but she defied the odds and lived another 11 years! Her strength showed me that hope matters, and that support can truly change lives.

This is my way of giving back, one ponytail at a time 💛

Did you know that 1 in 2 Queenslanders will be diagnosed with cancer in their lifetime?

I’m taking part in Cancer Council’s Ponytail Project campaign to raise funds that will support Queenslanders impacted by cancer.

Throughout the year, I’ll be growing my hair as long as possible, alongside peers all across Queensland, before chopping off my ponytail and rocking a brand new hairdo. Every ponytail chopped will make a difference to the lives of people affected by cancer #chopforchange.

All funds raised will go towards cancer research, prevention programs and support services. This means everything from transport to get cancer patients to and from their medical appointments, to assisting childcare facilities to keep kids safe from the sun.

I know that I can help create change.
